Wulfe Untamed Feral Warriors Pamela Palmer Books
Wulf Untamed was the wonderful love story between one of the characters who has always been a favorite of mine, but it leaves me with a heavy heart know that it also brings a conclusion to an absolute fantastic series. Wulf has always felt he had been punished by his goddess for the vanity of his youth, never deserving happiness in the finding a loving mate because who could ever look at him because of his scarring without revulsion, but was a fearsome fighter and leader who always did everything to help his brothers defeat the evil Mage, Satanan. From their first meeting, Natalie has only seen the man Wulf is, never what he looks like, but her convincing Wulf of this fact was not easy. Natalie loves Wulf with all her heart and determined to back him in the defeat of evil, even if it means her death. These two characters were a perfect match and their story was a wonderful read. Hopefully there will be a spin-off of this series, or even additional stories, there are still so much more that can be written, we then can continue to see more of the lives of these wonderful and unique band of Feral Warrior shifters.Tags : Amazon.com: Wulfe Untamed (Feral Warriors) (9780062107558): Pamela Palmer: Books,Pamela Palmer,Wulfe Untamed (Feral Warriors),Avon,0062107550,Good and evil,Man-woman relationships,Paranormal romance stories,Paranormal romance stories.,Shapeshifting,Shapeshifting;Fiction.,AMERICAN LIGHT ROMANTIC FICTION,AMERICAN SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY,FICTION Romance Paranormal General,Fiction,Fiction - Romance,Fiction-Romance,General Adult,MASS MARKET,Monograph Series, any,Romance,Romance - Paranormal - General,RomanceGeneral,United States
Wulfe Untamed Feral Warriors Pamela Palmer Books Reviews
When I first got Desire Untamed I was excited to read a new author and my favorite sect odd the mythical races are the shifters.
I enjoyed the interaction Woulfe had with Natalie in his wolf form. The quiet strength and acceptance that Natalie showed thought the book.
It was wonderful to know the stories behind Woulfe's scares; not only the physical ones that are a constant reminder of the guilt, pain and loss. I found Woulfe's character engaging and always wanted to read more about him; who he was and what motivated him.
Natalie was a breathe of fresh air. Like most of the sisterhood she is intelligent and has a core of steal. I enjoyed the way her character embodied a quiet acceptance; however, she radiated strength and confidence without being stuck-up or cocky.
Having read all the novels in this series, I can honestly say that it's like picking up a letter from old friends relaying the adventures, sorrows, and victories. When I can completely lose myself in a book and not realize what time it is, I can smile and feel that relaxed content feeling I enjoy sho much.
If you enjoy shifters and you want to be drawn in to the story; feel the anticipation, sadness, joy and hope then this is a book that I would press into your hands and tell you your search is over.
Damn. I can't believe this is the last book. I am rather sad about it, but also very impressed with the author's decision not to drag a series on into the 30s. She obviously made a decision and stuck with it- I won't judge if perhaps we have a spinoff? At least a Grizz book- cause dang I'm rather curious.
I would not recommend someone reading this as a standalone- you totally need the background that was covered in the first books.
Plus there are some freaking hot shifters that you should not miss. So please do yourself a favor and read from the beginning of the series instead of skipping to the end.
I would suggest that those who do not like paranormal romances read this book/series. Although it is set in the modern world, you might not appreciate it as much if you despise a fair bit of "magic" (shifters, immortality, etc.).
I might just say that Wulfe was my favorite warrior. Why? Because he had such a good heart and soul- I think that was part of his charm.
Anyways, read this book if you have finished the first seven in the series!
Very Brief Synopsis - Natalie has been returned to her "real" life, memories wiped of her time spent with the immortals. She is grieving for her brother, unable to remember Xavier is alive and well. Wulfe feels pulled to Natalie, and checks on her, in the form of his wolf. He notices an aura surrounding Natalie and enlists his brother Warriors to investigate. When they discover Natalie is in danger, Wulfe immediately volunteers to guard her, again in the form of his wolf. When the Mage come after the pair, they retreat to Feral House. Things are not going well for our mighty Ferals; Kara, their Radiant, has been poisoned, and the warriors are losing their Animals. Unless they can find a way to thwart the plans of Inir and Satanan, they, along with the humans, will perish.
What worked for me - Wulfe, with his scarred face and gentle ways, has been one of my favorites since the beginning of the series. He lost his mate, the former Radiant, shortly before the beginning of the first book. Theirs was not a love match, but the loss of his mate left Wulfe damaged. He is unable to feel emotion, his sense of taste has diminished, his ability to see color is limited...he doesn't get aroused. So, yeah, that was a little different. Wulfe carries terrible, weighty secrets that he bears stoically. He believes he deserves the bad things that happen to him because of the things he has done. He doesn't feel like he is good enough for Natalie, but that doesn't stop him from wanting her.
Natalie - what a great shero! She is an optometrist, specializing in helping dyslexic kids. Natalie believes the eyes are the window to the soul, and she judges Wulfe, in both his forms, to be a gentle and kind soul. She is drawn to his innate goodness, and wants to erase the shadows of pain she sees in him. Natalie has a spine made of titanium. She does not back down, even when she is in excruciating pain. She believes in Wulfe, and does her part to save him, and the world.
The Ferals and their mates - we spend some good amounts of quality time with the guys and their mates.
The story was intense, and gripping, with a ton of action. The romance part was more emotional than physical, and very sweet.
What didn't work as well - Not much. I did feel like a couple of threads were left hanging, and I am hoping for a new series to pursue those story lines. Like what happens with Vivian and Strom??? And Grizz and Sabine...definitely want to see what happens with them. Will Vhyper ever find a mate? The other thing was Natalie was so anxious to see her brother, then we don't see or hear about Xavier again until the epilogue. Just seemed strange. Other than that, nothing.
Bottom line - Time and money very well spent! I have been reading this series since the beginning, and I have enjoyed it immensely. Ms. Palmer keeps the action flowing and writes very strong leading characters. If you like shifter romances, or books with an interesting, unique mythology, you should give this series a try.
