Wicked Celestra Series Book 4 eBook Addison Moore

So far the series has been great. This book was slightly under par from the others. You got a little more back story on quite a few of the characters which is great. I felt rather annoyed by the whole Gage and Chloe thing but I guess the whole point of the book was to bring Chloe in and get her really into the mix. I have to say that by the end of the book Chloe fit in like any other character since she got her body. I did however really enjoy the ending. This ended way better than the last book. I just need to know what happens next. I can't wait to read the next book.

Wicked Celestra Series Book 4 eBook Addison Moore Reviews

I would definitely recommend reading The Celestra Series; but you need to read them in order. This series is complete with 8 books. Ethereal (Book 1), Tremble (Book 2), Burn (Book 3), Wicked (Book 4), Vex (Book 5), Expel (Book 6), Toxic Part 1 (Book 7-1), Toxic Part 2 (Book 7-2), Elysian (Book 8). There are 2 follow-up books called Celestra Extras and The Countenance Trilogy. The Celestra Series by Addison Moore is Young Adult Paranormal Romance with fantasy elements and is appropriate for older teenagers and all adults. I’m a mature adult and I LOVED the first and second books (I got them free as a set when they were on promotion). I immediately purchased the rest of the series and couldn’t wait to read them. I would give Ethereal (book 1) and Tremble (book 2) a strong 4 stars. The 3rd book, Burn, was more of a 3 star; I was starting to get a little bored. But I was into the story line and continued on with the series. I’m currently reading book 7 part 1, and will finish the series; overall I’ve enjoyed it. The story line pulled me in and has kept me engaged and entertained. Parts seem slow at times, but then it moves on and I want to read more. (I don’t give play by play of plots and story lines – you can read descriptions elsewhere.)
I'm getting to a point where I'm actively going to stop buying series unless it's clearly sold as a standalone trilogy OR each book in the a series can also function as a complete stand-alone. I've enjoyed this series overall but all 7 (and a half) - now 8 not-so-good books could have been so much better if they were condensed into one decent book. it seriously gets my goat when I've finished book 7.5 in a series (yes THIS series) and the tale is still not resolved. It makes me realise that the author is just milking me for every cent they can because they think I'm enjoying the series and will potentially keep buying books into perpetuity as long as they don't resolve the story....

Perhaps I'm being too harsh but it leaves really a bitter taste for me when I've read book 7.5 (at least the author had the decency to be too embarrassed to call it book 8 in an unresolved plot) and now have to wait for the author to finish writing the next book. It tells me she's going to keep stringing me along as much as she possibly can. If she had resolved it in a standalone trilogy and then released another standalone trilogy with the same characters at a different place in their lives I would feel less exploited and far more inclined to support the author's future work.

As it is I can say with absolute certainty that Addison Moore will not see another cent from me. Heck in some of the books in this series virtually nothing even happened! I was clearly caught in a trap for beginners by this author but rest assured, it won't happen again. Not only will Addison Moore not see another cent from me but in future I will always be weary of buying series of books anything other than standalone trilogies from ANY author. Now that I have learnt that there are some authors here on who are just out to "stick it" to their readers I will be far more weary even if they get good ratings. Addison Moore gets one star on every book in this series for teaching me a valuable lesson. Addison Moore is a shameless charlatan and I was taken in by her, I implore you, ignore the ratings, this series is going to cost you a lot of money and it's really not worth it.
I like the characters and scenario the whole story brings, but it's getting out of hand. By the 4th book I am ready for things to change or get to the finale. This book is one twist and turn after another and once you think you're getting somewhere, it turns again. It's to the point now where things are becoming unbelievable. Someone turns into an enemy just to find out there was a reason behind what they had done and the reason is very dramatic and unrealistic. I would really like to finish the series, but I've found there are 9 books to the series and it seems more like a way to make money rather than truly entertain. I'm disappointed that nothing is accomplished after 4 books. I feel like I'm walking in circles. After purchasing these books I've found that doesn't have these books for sale on the kindle all of a sudden and I would have to go through the play store to purchase them. I will only get the rest if they are $1 or free. Maybe then I would consider reading the rest. Until then, I won't lose any sleep over not finishing the series.
